N988AN is owned by AWMS 1. AWMS is part of Ansett Worldwide Aviation Services.
Quite often, an airline will lease an aircraft and register it under a different country than its own. Aeroflot does this a lot. It has many aircraft registered it Bermuda because the import taxes in Russia are extremely high.
Plus it makes it easier (legally) to get them back in the event of a default.
