MLB/NFL/NBA Charter Planes

Noticed New Orleans is using DAL8935, formerly Oklahoma City’s number.

I’ve noticed if you take the old teams flight number and add 2 to it…it becomes the new flight number. Haven’t looked at every team but the few that I did it seemed to work. Lol

I’m going with that theory with OKC hopefully now at DAL8937. Last activity on that was Philadelphia returning home from Toronto on 5/12 after losing game 7 in the Eastern Semifinals. Philly is 2 ahead of OKC alphabetically, so, maybe the +2 idea will work. I guess OKC didn’t fly to Tulsa for tonight’s game, but I thought they had in the past, so not sure yet about DAL8937. Their first road game is at Dallas 10/14, so I should know on 10/13 if the flight number works.

Pretty sure you’re right. Hawks were DAL8918, and looks like they’re DAL8920 this year…

DAL8937 worked for OKC 10/13 to DAL, but back to OKC on 10/14 it was cancelled, so still leaning on the +2 theory for now, but not 100% sure.

Anyone got the new Houston Rockets tail number?

Best guess is this is the flight. They play OKC tomorrow night. Previous flights match up NO in Dec.

Has anyone figured out a lot of the MLB 2020 charters?

I think i’ve figured out 4 or 5 of them for UAL, including one previously used by the Dodgers now seems to follow the Rockies pattern – Rockies are probably not using PMM anymore – while I haven’t figured out the new Dodgers one yet.

SportsAviation on Twitter has got some good info on charters, including recent MLB activity.

Thank you. I thought it was one of those click bait things that I didn’t want to click. Wow they are very informative.

Looks like the 2020 NBA Delta charters are using the same flight #'s they used the year before last.
