MLAT .... uhmmm ... what's this?

Hi List,

  • could someone please explain or point me to a good reading about MLAT ?
  • In FA “my-ads-B” page, the MLAT status is green, but no MLAT messages are never received. Why ?
  • On PiAware log, I saw “syncronized whit 2 nearby station”. That means MLAT is working ok ?
  • Generally, how to check if mlat is working properly and when messages are send to FA ?

You need 4 other stations to be able to multilaterale the position.

A bit technical:

2 nearby stations is not going to be sufficient for good mlat results.
