Maybe dump1090 is no longer running?

When viewing my feed in PiAware/SkyAware I have started to get the following message not continually, but frequently.

Problem fetching data from dump1090.
AJAX call failed (error). Maybe dump1090 is no longer running?
The displayed map data will be out of date.
Sometimes there is an indication of how much data has not been retrieved, up to 30%.

I am using a Piaware SD card 7.2 with a Raspberry 3

This has only happened since I made the following alterations to my set up :-
Moved the antenna by about 30 feet
Shortened my coax from 95 feet to around 30 feet
Have my Pi and Blue stick at the base of the antenna (in an insulated shed)
Use wifi over a distance of 90 feet - Could it be I am expecting too much from the wifi connection over this distance.

However, I am seeing a greater range now. I did try looking at Piaware, but having a few senior moments, with regards to passwords.

Any help suggestions or comments really appreciated.

I think you might have intermittent connection problems due to the distance of the Wi-Fi. Ajax calls usually indicate a loss of connection between the browser and the device and the internet.
Is there an option to run an ethernet cable connection to see if the problem then is occuring as well ? Other option might be to place the Pi3 close to a window ? if it is inside a insulated shed the signal might be to weak to recieve.
Alternative could be a wifi dongle that is connected to one of the USB ports of the Pi 3
Maybe that wil improve the reception as well so you don’t need the ethernet cable.

Thanks for your reply.
Unfortunately the shed doesn’t have windows as it is where I keep a telescope and hence insulated on 3 sides. I thought as the door isn’t it would be ok for the wifi signal.
I will get an ethernet cable over the weekend and try that.
As you think it may be intermittent connections, when it is dry outside, I will bring the pi a lot closer to the house/hub and see what happens then.
Once again thank you for the reply.

If you don’t get the desired results then let us know so we can think along with you on how to improve the situation.

You are spot on with regards to a wired internet connection. The Pi has been running for over 24 hours with a good quality cable and 1090 dump has worked well and has not dropped out at all.
I am very pleased overall, as with the antenna in the slightly different position and the reduced coax feed length I am now seeing aircraft up to 235 miles range, whereas the maximum range before was around 185.
Thank you for your help, much appreciated.
