Interesting Gulfstream IV

Saw a G-IV at KSAT today, on the right side only two windows and two small doors, left side had five windows and small door before engine, “093” was on the tail, no other letters or numbers. military personnel in BDUs boarded, anyone seen this one before? call sign was JRZ22

in the full size photo it appears to have a cargo door?

Guessing it was all white in color? Most likely USAF or USN.

No, it had red and black stripes. and a cargo door on the right side!

its military no doubt,

or civilian contractor for DOD.

The description and pictures appear to be Navy. 165093. They must have given it a more civilian look to ‘blend in’.

Found some pics of it on a.net and in the description of one it says:

165093 (cn 1187) About to touchdown late in the afternoon on Rwy 15 as “Navy Romeo Golf 840”. Aircraft is operated by Fleet Logistics Support Squadron Four Eight VR-48 based out of Andrews AFB in Washington DC. Aircraft arrived in support of US forces participating in Exercise Talisman Saber 2007.

The Saudi Medevac team has had numerous Gulfstreams with the cargo door over the years, makes it real easy to load/unload stretchers and over sized cargo that way.

John in Saudi

flip through this gallery page and you will see a pic of the plane with the cargo door opened. Very cool

I’d like to fly that ambulance

I was hoping it would have a tailhook. That would be a sight…
