Incorrectly labeled runways

I’ve been chasing down an issue where FlightAware indicates the incorrect takeoff/landing runway for a given flight. Here is an example: N170TM Flight Tracking and History 13-Sep-2025 (KCCR-KMEV) - FlightAware

According to FlightAware, the takeoff runway for this flight was 19L. That looks correct when you look on the FlightAware map.

However, I believe this is an instance where FlightAware has 1R/19L and 1L/19R reversed by mistake. The screenshot from the satellite image of KCCR, which clearly shows the disagreement:

I’ve seen this happening pretty regularly.

Hi, thanks for the report. I’ve confirmed this is a bug in our departure/arrival runway determination system, and we’ll investigate and fix the problem.
