Quite honestly as a matter of principle I do think its worth provoking at least some notion of remorse or inconvenience for Mr Parker. It will make me feel is if I have done something rather than being mugged and being able to identify the mugger and letting him get away with it.
An eye for an eye
While I appreciate your sense of indignation at Mr. Parker’s apparent moral turpitude, any legal actions you might bring against him and/or the company will be for naught.
In essence, the elephant neither knows nor cares that the approaching ant has rape on his mind.
Write the $15K off as an education expense and move on.
No Just for the shear pleasure it will give me to go after him its worth it. If I can tie him up a few weeks it will make me feel a lot better. He was flying around in his “private jet” and living the high life at other peoples expense. I will persue him wherever he goes and whatever he does in an effort to prevent him doing the same in the future to some others or the next generation of hard working people. If he had done this at the start of my career he would have bancrupted me. Fortunately I am at the other end. I would hate some young businessperson to be put out of business through someone elses greed before they have a chance
Then I wish you fair winds and calm seas for the hunt Capt. Ahab.
Thanks.
It gives me something to focus on in my retirement.
When I’m retired I am going to focus on my Fly rod, Cub and horses.
Parker is a thief. I thought about hiring a lawyer and going after him as well, but I need the rest of my money for the new hanger door I ordered. It just angers me to know he is getting away with hurting so many people and not caring one bit.
I have received several emails about this from people telling me their story of what happened to them. It is sad.
Parker is relying on everyone cutting their losses. Actually he is depending on it. What is the difference in robbing 200 people of $5k and one person of $1m. The one will go for him. The amounts are the same but lethargy means Parker wins and laughs at us all. He will soon be flying around in a private jet living the high life. It will be to late to wish you had all gone for him.
I hope you never have any regrets
Unless your check for a door deposit was made out to Mr. Parker personally and not Hydroswing Co., then you have little hope of bringing an action against him for theft, fraud, misfeasance, malfeasance, general mopery, screwing the pooch, etc.
It’s called “Piercing the corporate veil” and you would do well to Google the term before you begin to use terms such as “thief” and “fraud” when referring to Mr. Parker.
You might want to also become conversant with the terms, “limited liability”, “corporate entity”, “LLC”, “unity of interest and ownership”, “wrongful conduct”, “proximate cause”, “jurisdiction”, etc., etc.
It strikes me as rather strange that some people protect Mr Parker. I hope that the Trustee of the company emplots a forensic accountant and or a forensic IT expert to give customers peace of mind.
I’m trying to protect YOU and your wallet, but I’m done now, so you needn’t worry about seeing any more attempts at assistance from me.
I marvel at your naivete’.
Good luck. You’ll need it.
James
Potless, if you want to make a difference instead of becoming a bug on Parker’s windscreen, you could focus on being the community memory of Parker’s business dealings. A website, perhaps. The trick would be carefully guarding against a harassment lawsuit. As a hobby, it would be longer-lasting and lower cost than filing a fruitless lawsuit.
Here’s the deal. You are unable to make Parker sorry about the past. You might be able save someone else from being sorry in the future.
It would appear that Mr Parker has a court appointment on the 11th May 2011. What are the odds on him actually going or will this be another poke in the eye for us all ?
What happened with the court date. Did Marshal Parker show up for Court?
Surprise Surprise,
Mr Parker failed to show. Seems to think he is above the law. All of you who lost deposits now he just moves on.
Serves you all right. He is free to do it again. I hear he is in San Diego at his mansion.
Potless should read “Heartless”
Why should it serve me right to lose $7500.00 deposit money. I borrowed that money from the bank to retrofit my hangar with a good door. I own and operate a small aircraft maintenance shop on a private field. I have one A&P apprentice helper and budgets are tight. Now I have to pay back that loan for nothing. Now you tell me it serves me right! You are a jerk!!!
I think you have misplaced anger and are taking it out on other people in the same boat because you feel helpless. The difference is that most of us here realize we have been screwed and throwing good money after bad causes us to lose more money!! duh!! Wake up stupid and quit acting like you did not get screwed also. You can’t get your money back from Marshal Parker of Hydroswing cause there is no money left at hydroswing, Parker cleaned it out and took it or spent it. If you know he is in his manson why don’t you Man up and go over there and get your money back, then you can run you mouth that you are so good at. If I ever have the pleasure to me him, I will get $7500.00 of satisfaction one way or the other.
Bye the way, stop by my shop, I have a can of whipa$$ for ya and I promise you will be “served right”.
Unfair to call me heartless. Like the rest of you I lost $10k. The point I was trying to make was not that you deserved to be robbed but that Mr Parker wins because indifference means he gets away with it. He is relying on us all not coordinating an effort against him that would of stop a repeat of his type of business ethic.
Like many, I only got half my door.
Last year i was ill so only got around to getting it finished this spring. Just so y’all know I’m in Georgia and I used a company in Florida to help me.
They engineered me some pinpoints, they brought the right cylinders and then installed the hangar door all. They charged me about $2,000 with the install.
And i aint no friend of those people either, they just a nice company who asked me to spread the word.
