Global Express circumnavigates earth, pole to pole . . .

TAG TransPolar 08

SUNDAY, 23 NOVEMBER, 1437 UTC – The TAG TransPolar08 flight has completed its circumnavigation of the world crossing both North and South Poles. The Global Express business jet returned to TAG Farnborough Airport today after 52 hours and 32 minutes to effectively best the current record time of Pam Am Flight 50 made in 1977.

The International Aeronautical Federation (FAI) must now certify a successful record-setting flight. It will require several weeks to examine flight documentation of the HB-JEX Global Express business jet before issuing official certification.

HB-JEX gets around. It’s sitting at YUL right now.
