FRZ Flight Plan in the DC Area

You need special clearance to fly into or out of the Washington DC area’s Flight restricted Zone. When I get this clearance from ATC, sometimes the flight pops up on Flight Aware but oftentimes it does not. Like Flight Following, what determines whether the flight gets tracked or not? Thanks.

Are you IFR or VFR would be the question?

ADIZ and FRZ are airspace issues that warrant closer scrutiny to your flight.

If you are VFR, the answer will not change from what Magnetoz provided in your other thread.
