They shipped the 8-P to me in the USA via standard post because it is 102cm as TomV stated earlier.

These two charts give you an idea of the difference. The Vinnant replaced my Flight Aware antenna in April 2023 with no other changes to the setup at the time. (I tweaked the Airspy preamble filter in December.)
You can see that there was a couple of dB improvement in RSSI. At the same time the average auto gain setting was reduced by one step. Both signs of stronger received signals.
Can you turn one on it’s end and buy drapes lol? All I know is that the panel mfj shipped to me was a lot longer than my windowsill. I saved the cut-offs.
I’ve seen them made with 1x3-inch, rubber grommets, and wire core ceramic or the connex of your choosing.
