In the last few days I have seen a few unusual aircraft passing overhead here in South Florida. First I noticed the Coast Guard helicopters patrolling at unusually high altitudes back and forth. Then I noticed a C 130 into Opa Locka and another Coast C-130 into Opa Locka. This airport does not have any CG C-130s there. Is this activity related to increased patrols in anticipation of events in Cuba?
I worked at Opa Locka for a number of years. C-130’s are not an unusual site there. They would bring in equipment and so forth for CG. Also the Gov fuel contract was held by the FBO there and also brought in alot heavy military traffic.
