Dump1090-Raspberry-PiWare

Does FlightAware also work with TAR1090? I have a USB stick with FlightRadar24 and TAR1090 running and I find TAR1090 a bit better in terms of appearance etc.

tar1090 is installed on your local device. It accesses your dump1090 installation on this device. So the aircraft you see is coming already from dump1090.

Flightaware is gathering the data from this dump1090 as well using piaware.

So you are using tar1090 already with Flightaware

THX I’m just new in this area

@justfun2405 has mentioned Flightradar24 plus TAR1090, but no mention of dump1090/readsb & piaware. As the fr24feed installs dump1090-mutability if it does not find any decoder such as dump1090-fa or readsb, I assume there is a decoder available.

However one can NOT feed Flightaware if he has not installed piaware package. Since the OP has not mentioned installing piaware, I doubt if he is feeding Flightaware.

Of course he did. See the title of the topic

@abcd567 What is your problem now?

What you believe or doubt has nothing to do with reality and certainly doesn’t answer my question :person_shrugging:

@foxhunter understood my question and has already answered it.

Thank you @foxhunter for pointing out my oversight. I have missed the detail in title, just cocentrated on the content of the post.

No worries. Can be ignored due to the fact that you normally deliver very good input
