I have the pleasure of spending tonight in KATL courtesy of Delta due to a mis-connect. On the van ride over to the Sheraton, I met several passengers on the above-referenced flight who had to divert due to a mechanical problem. Apparently, since they hadn’t cleared Customs, they were taken to the Air Force Reserve side of the airport and pulled near or in a hangar. Delta sent another plane about 2 1/2 hours later. No food, no restrooms, and no climate control where they were waiting. Lots of angry, tired (and hung over!) passengers…
