A few changes in FlightAware’s time zone support were just rolled out to the live site.
FlightAware now supports displaying times in an airport’s local time zone. By default, this is off for all users before 1900CDT on the 25th because that was the previous behavior. You can visit your profile to change this and other time zone display settings.
The default behavior for new users or users not logged in after 1900CDT on the 25th is to display everything in the time zone local to the flight operation/airport. Accordingly, we no longer support time zone preference cookies (“Time Zone Settings”) for users that aren’t logged in since it is no longer as necessary.
The Public Discussion forums continue to use a time zone set in your discussions profile that is just a GMT offset. We’ll address that problem later.
