Bulkhead Cameras in Cabin

Hi All:

Was on a Freedom/Republic ERJ145 from MEM-CVG the other day, and I swear I saw some boxes on the bulkheads at the front of the passenger cabin with small black circular coverings that looked like they could be cameras. Is that indeed what I saw? If so, not a bad idea for guys and ladies in the cockpit.

Yeah, they have them on some airliners so the captain/FO can see on their display who’s at the door - post 9/11 stuff.
