If you take a look at the KSTL flight patterns the maps make it look like the plans weave back and forth during the flight into st. louis.

Is this a bug that happens sporadically, or is it an ongoing thing that just gets reported every so often? Pretty weird.
This is a constant thing. It has been this way for months maybe close to a year. The local tv reporter when referencing Flight Aware even made the report wrong and stated that during an emergency landing the plane weaved back and forth due to the odd flight path shape.
