I’m guessing that this is a test flight? Tonight an A332 departed KPHL and flew out over the ocean, did some circling, and returned to Philly two hours later. Previous flights under this flight number flew out of and back into KCLT in a similar manner (although they were of a shorter duration).

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Many of the major airlines use flight numbers in the 9000 series for maintenance, charter, and deadheading flights.
