Antonov 124s at Charleston

I’ve been watching air traffic at KCHS, Charleston AFB/International in South Carolina. There is an Antonov AN-124 flight out most every day. They are either Volga-dnepr or Polet. I was wondering what they’re up to. The standard routing is Charleston to Bangor, and then on to Prestwick.

Charleston is home to a military contractor called Force Protection. They make the armored vehicles in use in the Iraq and Afghanistan operations.

Just a guess, I think they are shipping the vehicles out to the troops.

They are great to watch fly in and out…
