An aircraft vectors to intercept the ILS at KCVG 0720 . the icon appeared to slide backwards during the total decent to intercept. Interesting. I could not identify It for reference.

Just saw another one doing the same thing! 0730

11:20 and 11:30 Z

Now COM 448 is doing the same thing. 1200 Z

I know that this probably a radar feed quirk!
BUT the 1st time I have seen a jet forward slip to lose alt and speed! LOL

Sometimes we’ll get two positions for the same aircraft from two different radar stations within a few seconds. If the second position is behind the first position, the map software will show the plane backward on it’s flight path.
