Adaptive burst mode not triggered by airplanes transmitting "on ground"

it seems that airplanes transmitting “on ground” do not trigger adaptive burst control which results in such aircrafts remaining on the runway after touchdown although they have already left it

There’s nothing fundamentally different about the signals transmitted while on ground, except:

  • transmit antenna selection might be different (only top antenna is used)
  • the transmission rate slows down when the aircraft is stationary

I suspect you might be hitting that second case and the lower rate of message is not enough to trigger the adaptive-burst logic.

Thanks for the feedback, I will continue monitoring this situation.

Would an increased adaptive_burst_alpha maybe improve it in such cases?
