787 delays


With the mounting 787 delays everthing comes back to fasteners. Inital delays were due to a shortage of fasteners. Current are due to having to redo some on one of the test articles.

I know we’re talking about connecting composite to composite for the most part but is there anyone in the know out there that can go into detail about these “fasteners?” What makes them so different from what’s been used in the past? Are they composite too? Don’t think so.

Anyway… anyone have any info?

I think the strike has hurt Boeing too.
