or ,are they borrowing 747? I’ve heard from the sales rep. that they would not run out of equipment, but they would run out of pilots, and they have to borrow(rent) some. Is this also a truth?
Probably a leased aircraft. UPS also leases extra aircraft at this time of the year.
The lease can include crews.

That particular aircraft is from Atlas, no doubt one of several chartered for the holiday rush.
Last December I picked up one of the Dreamlifters on approach to KMHR as a UPS charter. Too bad it was dark.
