Accident occurred just around supper hour this evening, local time.
A 72 year old pilot and his passenger died today when their L-39C suffered an in flight engine failure. Aircraft crashed just short of the runway at Antonio Jose de Sucre Airport in Northern Venezuela.
Aircraft had departed Margarita Island en route to Sucre, the L-39C hit 3 houses, with multiple fatalities and injuries to people on the ground. Reports say 4 or 5 killed on the ground, 2 in the plane, and several more seriously injured.
