I put in a notification for this flight:

and it was cancelled according to google, etc.
flightstats.com/go/FlightSta … aign=co-op
Why didn’t flightaware pick this up?
It will eventually drop off. As far as I know there is no “cancel” in the status field - just scheduled, diverted, and enroute

In the notification alerts the following events are listed
Alert Events
FlightAware will send you an alert when any of the selected events occur:
Flight Plan Filed:
Departure (wheels-up):
Arrival:
Cancelled:
Diverted:
What is the point of the “Cancelled:” alert if it doesn’t fire when a flight is cancelled?
Our cancellation alerts only apply to flights that have already departed.
