When are flight schedules updated?

I assumed that the alert API would allow us to be notified of schedule changes in the future (like a route was cancelled).

It looks like the only way to get changes to flights in the future is to pull the schedule again – is that correct? Is there any initiative to add future schedule changes to the alert api?

If this is the only way to get new schedule data, how often is this updated? Judging from older posts, it seems like it is done monthly. When exactly is this done? I would like to pull the schedule as soon as it changes.

Thank you for contacting FlightAware.

Our API does not notify users of schedule changes. Users would have to recall the query again over time. Our system updates a few times a month. You will be able to have up-to-date information if you recall your queries on a weekly basis.
