That means you don’t have the position set in dump1090-fa.
And there shouldn’t be less panels really.
Hmm. I did read that on the github page.
But this has been set in /etc/defaults/dump1090-fa for several days:
DECODER_OPTIONS="--lat 39.9999 --lon -77.9999 --max-range 500"
(just slightly obfuscated position for posting here)
Prior to that the concentric circles were missing on the displayed map, but afterwards the circles showed up. Would I need to reinstall graphs1090 or anything like that?
Very cool! Thanks for pointing that out. Airspy has a clear advantage for me under 4000ft, even more pronounced under 3000ft but I did this side by size at 4000 (Airspy on the left, RTL v4 right) because if the interesting circular flight pattern I noticed near Hagerstown
You shouldn’t need to.
Maybe just restart the graphs1090 service.
If you’re gonna seriously compare like that, maybe turn off MLAT as FA mlat is gonna be random and unpredictable.
Or you can extra instances that don’t have MLAT results for example using containers. But that’s a bit more involved.
