Hate to see a C-17 go down. . .
Yeah very sad. This is big news here in Charleston, where the largest wing of the 17’s are based. I believe that’s the first crash for one too. Considering the amount of hours the AF is racking up on those things, it still has a remarkable record.

My friend fly the moose out of WRI, I remember him telling me they lost an airframe in the sandbox last year in a landing incident. No fatalities.
