Upgrade to RPi4

Apologies if there are postings about this already. My system currently involves an external antenna (on the chimney) stack, FA Prostick Plus and RPi3. I am considering upgrading to an RPi4 and was wondering if the investment would be worthwhile. I have a few questions:

  1. Would it lead to a significant improvement/increase in my stats?
  2. Is the upgrade setup straightforward i.e. similar to setting up the RPi3?

Any feedback would be gratefully appreciated

Many thanks

I doubt it would make any difference. It possibly would if you were using an airspy. They need a bit of CPU especially in busy locations.

I did this step in December last year where i upgraded from a Raspberry Pi3 B (non plus) to a Raspberry 4B.
The rest i did not change at this time, i am using a blue Pro Plus stick.

To answer your questions

  1. no
  2. yes

Initially i thought it showed a higher performance, but it turned out that is was more the standard deviation over the day.

Other solutions like an Airspy might benefit of the higher performance, but not the FA stick
