Question about the map colors

Hi,

I am excited about flightaware, and I think is an excellent tool for learning for a student pilot like me.

My questions, about the map:

  1. What is the difference between green and blue tracks of aircrafts?
    2.What does it mean the length of a green or blue track on the map? Is it the path of the ship in the las X minutes?

Flights in blue are to/from the airport; flights in green are in the vicinity.

The length is indicitve of where the aircraft has been and how fast it’s moving. It shows the last 5 minutes.
