Question about American's A319's

American Airlines has A319’s (mainly from the US Airways merger). I fly next week and was comparing seat maps from American’s website to SeatGuru and noticed there’s two different types of A319’s (V1 and V2). What is the difference between the V1 and V2 version? Is V1 the new A319’s w/sharklets?

The V1s are the newest in the fleet and include IFE and seat power. The V2s are the old US Airways birds that lack these amenities.

The US Airways birds also have two subfleets - East and West (Former America West and former US Airways East), but they’re very similar now.

.

West metal and East Metal are still valid??? Wow…

The East aircraft have CFM engines like the new AA aircraft. The West aircraft have IAE

Yeah… I do recall that.
