I just notice that the major airport in Puerto Rico which was designated tsju before, now its new I.D. is TJSJ …Can anybody tell me why the FAA made this change ?
San Juan has always been TJSJ to my knowledge (at least going back 12 years). As that’s the ICAO code, the FAA wouldn’t have much authority to change that. SJU is the FAA code, as well as the IATA code.

TSJU is the identifier for the NOAA National Weather Service Forecast Office located at the San Juan Airport.
