Piaware WiFi fails to come up after dropped connection

Whenever the wifi connection gets dropped, for example when my router temporarily disconnects due to re-configuration, the Piaware won’t bring back up the wifi connection. I’ve tried setting a static address in /etc/dhcpcd.conf but that didn’t work. I could maybe write a script to check if the interface is down and try to bring it back up again but why does it go down in the first place?

Anybody else experience this and have a solution?

Jason

Are you using a piaware sdcard image or a Raspbian image?
What does syslog say after a disconnection?

I am using a piaware sdcard image that is set to auto-update.
I didn’t see anything in syslog regarding a disconnection. I did however run a sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade and found there were many outdated packages, including dump1090. Seems to be behaving better now.
