Looking to improve my packet rate (and total Aircraft). Currently noticing the packet rate fluctuates a fair bit from ~175 down to ~40.
Currently running PiAware 10.2 on a PI3, RTL-SDR V3 with LNA. Antenna is a 1.0 to 1.5GHZ (forgot brand), mounted ~30ft on a residential TV tower. Cable is 100ft (need to cut it down to 50ft) LMR-400. Have 2 6in match cords that are RG58.
Located outside of town, flat terrain, within 100NM of 2 international airports (Ottawa and Montreal).
Currently as I type this, I have watched the packet rate go from ~145 down to ~80 and now am up around 160.
Any thoughts on what could be causing this to fluctuate? I’m thinking maybe the SDR is having issues but am not sure how to check it.
