One Pi, Two Dongles, Two Maps, Two Receivers

Are there any instructions how to run two dump1090-fa’s with 2 dongle using systemd? @abcd567’s instructions are using init.d…

In this thread I described method for dump1090-mutability only, and not for dump1090-fa.

The dump1090-mutability uses init.d, but the systemd automatically generates systemd service files from sysV init.d files at boot.

For dump1090-fa, there is no init.d, only systemd. The method is described in the following two places:

(1) Manual Method: Two Independent 1090 Mhz ADS-B Receivers on One Pi (No UAT 978)

(2) Automated Install Scripts: https://github.com/abcd567a/two-receivers/blob/master/README.md

Hey @abcd567. Thank you for your awesome work! I reveiced the 2nd dongle and antenna 4 hours ago, now I am up and running with 2 instances of dump1090-fa and piaware!

Since my last message, I have found your post on dump1090-fa and it helped me out. Please check the link to the dump1090-fa instructions in your (updated) first post in THIS topic. I think the link is wrong, it directs to THIS SAME thread. Thats why I wasnt able to find the fa instructions.

Again, thanks for your work. Great!

The attempt in this thread for dump1090-fa was based on the init.d method of the dump1090-mutability, and at that time this was the only method I developed for dump1090-fa, I posted link to it.

Later I developed systemd method for dump1090-fa, and created a new thread for it.

As this forum does not allow editing old posts, I could not and still cannot edit the post in this thread to correct the link to make it point to the new thread.

Glad to know you succeeded in running two receivers on one Pi. By the way did you use github script for automated install, or did you do it manually as per instructions in other thread of this forum?
