Very interesting – $100 is not a bad price considering it has LNAs and filters for 1090 MHz and 978 MHz. If you bought separate RTL-SDR dongles, LNAs and filters you would be spending about $180. The only downside to this approach is there’s no metal box for shielding and heat dissipation. So if you mount the Flycatcher above the Raspberry Pi, you possibly get noise in the RF front end from the RPi.
