Log Pane data

When I view the Log Pane data on FlightAware using my desktop with Ubuntu, the data is updated every fifteen seconds, as it should be, but the time stamp on the left shows that is is 2 hours and two minutes old. I printed the contents of Piaware.out and it is being updated with the correct time stamp. Looking back two hours shows the data being reported on the FlightAware log pane was sent correctly, but two hours previously.

I can view the same online account with both my iPads and they both show the, correct, current data as it is posted to Piaware.out. Since I am using three devices to view the online database, how can my desktop see an old data stream while the others are correct? I have rebooted everything but the desktop data pane content stays two hours behind. The internal time is the same on all devices and the clocks on the dump1090 displays are all correct.

Today, I did another reboot of everything and added my Dell laptop with Ubuntu. The iPads show the current postings, the desktop is still 2 hours behind…and the laptop is 9 minutes behind.

What am I missing?

maybe your desktop ubuntu is set with another location? just check it.

The location is the same on all devices. Since all are looking at port :8080 and at the FlightAware web page, they access the same data. That is what makes no sense to me. My desktop is still streaming data from the FA data pane every 15 seconds that is two hours old, matching my piaware.out hardcopy. Firefox buffers are empty and it runs as fast as ever on everything else.

Weird to watch the same data pane on two iPads display current timestamped data while the desktop looking at the same source is showing the same heartbeat, but old data.

Any ideas?

I have a vague recollection there is a browser-side bug here somewhere where the log pane doesn’t show the most recent data (i.e. it’s getting a history that stretches back a few hours, then showing the wrong bit of it)
