Really?
OK, so the king has 30kts and 200nm on the PC-12, but on a 500 mile flight (for example) I will use 115 gallons of fuel with a PC-12 vs. about 180 gallons of fuel in the King. Then you get to throw in the costs of maintenance on TWO engines vs. one, yada, yada, yada. Sure, in the scenario of this thread you may have the money to afford it, but to say it is a King with one engine? Nah.

Definitely cheaper to operate the PC-12. Right up until the point of engine failure!

I’m only going on single experience too.
I flew in the navy for 3 years and almost 2000 hours as a crewman on C-12s (the C-12 was just a King Air Super 200 with a cargo door.) It had the PT-6 on it… In that time we had 2 engine failures.
I dont like the odds .

PT-6 failures are pretty rare, and 2 in 3 years is just bad luck or bad maintenance. Personally, I just like having 2 engines. Or 3. Or 4!
As long as it isn’t at the same time, there’s usually no problem…
