Been told to plan on having numerous fly-ins for the funeral. Do not know if this will pan out. Heard today that the funeral should happen by Friday.
Travolta’s son cremated, ashes flown to Florida.
Memorial is today. 2 floors of the local Hilton have been reserved. Watch 17FL and OCF. N466JB GII is headed to 17FL from LAX. Been told Mr. Cruise and Oprah should be among the attendees.

Their aircraft are both blocked. Naturally.

There was a special on TV tongiht on the trajedy. They brought up a flight where John was in control and lost all electronics of the airplane with the entire family on board. I know of the 707 loosing the engine, but is this the same incident? They made it sound like the kids were young.

It looks like N707JT & N492JT are now blocked. I can only assume N218JT will be next.

Does anyone know if/how many pilots he employs? Thought it a bit strange, and have some experience with this, that he was flying so much the day of his son’s death. Assume maybe he had someone else flying the G2?
I got a call one day, taxiing out, that my last grandmother had died (it was somewhat expected, but still saddened me). I took off, but in the departure turn, noticed I really wasn’t paying attention to flying the airplane. Had to force myself to focus on the flying and shove her death back to the back of my brain. Can’t imagine flying after loosing a child unexpectedly.

G2 landed OCF from LAX last week with no John, and two faces I have never scene before in control. Also have scene one new gentlemen here for the Eclipse. Met 2 guys a year or so ago for with the 707. Not sure about employment or how they fit in but there are always several folks around.
Looks like John has blocked the last of his fleet. N218JT is no longer trackable. Sorry to see it, I always enjoyed following his travels.
