How much does a commercial airplain cost ( airlines pay?)

I understand most of the commercial plains are bought under the marketing price. How much lower do they really cost? Also. I understand most of the commercial plains are leased. Who lease them, What is JLL (Japan Leveraged Lease) and how that works? Can individual invenst in leasing? is it wise?, anyone can tell me please!

It depends vastly on the aircraft, whether it’s new or used, who the purchaser is, and how many they are purchasing.

It can vary between $200,000 (a worn out Piper Navajo) and $389,900,000 (list price for an A380).

The best way to get in on the Aircraft financing industry would probably be to buy GE or AIG stock as they own the two largest aircraft financing companies (GECAS and ILFC) - IMHO GE would be the smarter buy (less risky).
