NOTE:
(1) This version with wire insulation is easier to make as you save the effort of peeling-off the wire insulation. This is particularly helpful in case of many types of coax where the core insulation is sticky and is hard to remove.
(2) Slightly warming the coax outer jacket softens it and makes it easier to insert the radials.
(3) Although 8 radials give best results, but for some users it is hard to insert 8 radials. In this case 6 or even 4 radials can be used. This will somewhat (but not much) reduced performance compared to 8 radials.
