Gain Issues?

I am creating a new raspberry pi installation using bookworm (not the sd card image). I have an existing installation using bullseye.

I am getting somewhere around 80 aircraft on the old install, when I switch the sdr to the new installation I am only getting 15-20 aircraft. I can figure out what is wrong, it’s the same hardware and software, both using V9 of piaware.

Do I need to let it run for a few hours for the auto gain to dial it in or there something else I can do?

Flightaware 1090 Antenna → Flightaware 1090 Filter → Flightaware ProStick Plus (Blue) → OrangePiPC → ​ 32-bit Armbian Bookworm → dump1090-fa ver 9.0

Gain Settings in file /etc/default/dump1090-fa :

RECEIVER_GAIN=60
ADAPTIVE_DYNAMIC_RANGE=yes
ADAPTIVE_BURST=yes

RESULT: Messages > -3 dBFS (4.2 % of messages)
