Gotta get passed me first!!!
WellâŚsince they are staring out in northern Phoenix, they are already past you! Unless or course you could cram a PT-6 in the Sundowner. Maybe youâll catch upâŚmaybe.
But yeah, I agree itâs a no brainer. Time to stretch out the A36âs legs.

Good point!
In my experiences, best eating sea food places are on the east coast, and I have 1/2 continent headstart (most needed in my case for my Slowdowner) thus the need to get passed me

Wellllll, Iâll start in NOLA for good seafood (BUGS!!), a stop in Thibodeaux for Jambalaya, a crawfish pie and fileâ gumbo, then on to Mobile for some respectable oysters, FL for grouper fingers, conch fritters on any of the islands, shrimp in GA and SC, local catch in NC and VA, crabs galore in MD and it only gets BETTER as you go northward.
Now excuse me while I wipe the drool off my keyboard!
Doesnât a A36 see more like 17-18 gph. Are you flying lean of peak, or just pulling back on the throttle?
A little of both + it is a 76â with the IO-520
Who you kidding Allen? An A36 with four aboard and full tanks wonât HAVE any luggage aboard!
With Gameboys & a DVD Player (so much for the family time), my 11 and 7 year old could ride with their knees around their ears and wouldnât mind a bit. Besides, with club seating and the rear seats removed, there is plenty of leg room for the kidsâ legs.
My apologies Dragonheartxp, I didnât mean to hijack your post, but Iâm thinking that with all the + responses you can put me down as a NO for parking my airplane. I truly feel sorry for those that really have to, all kidding aside. Flying is a great privelage and I hope I can continue to have the opportunity for a very long time!

Get those kids up in the air, itâs a moral imperative.
We go through these changes with our power boat owning friends every time fuel prices burp. By such means are dock queens made, the only thing new is the boats get smaller and smaller.

I have a family of 4 and an A36, which Iâll own anyway whether I âpark itâ and I fly commercial or drive, and no way in he^% am I driving 4 days round trip for $750 in gas/hotels/food!!!
I did the same math blog.what2fly.com/2008/04/22/fue ⌠u-grounded and still flew commercial on a family trip and a business trip and spent 4 extra days (SNA) on the family trip and 2 extra days (MCO) on the business trip because the airlines apparently canât handle weather, mechanical, and staff delays as a result of their mismanagement!
I wish I would have followed the road to my hanger instead of the security line and saved my self, 6 days in the airport, lost luggage and 6 free drink coupons I got for my âwx related, beyond our control delaysâ.
In light of that I already set up my website to let you compare which plane is better to fly and the cost to do it versus being in the giant bus in the sky!
I was still undecided until I saw this.
My luck, Iâd spend all this time in procrastination, decide that the airline is the best option, pay the 1200 bones, get on, get seated and have THAT plant itself one row in front us. NO THANKS!
CLEAR PROP!!!
