I’m scraping data from Dump1090’s built-in web server using the Firefox headless browser. I find that I often get erroneous ICAO IDs such as 2E039F or 0E9B2B. Most of the erroneous IDs start with 2E or 0E. These IDs don’t show up on the Firefox graphic display of the Dump1090 web page. Are these erroneous IDs a strange artifact of the way I’m getting the data, or is Dump1090 actually producing bogus IDs?
One possibility is that these are Military planes intentionally using this type of ID to hide their real type and identity.
