It wasn’t a modeac issue and the switch isn’t necessary with readsb as it’s default behaviour.
In regards to the issue … i can’t imagine how you accidentally would put in the IP for you orther receiver to get the data from there …
Or are you pushing data to some IP on VRS or from wherever?
Really something you should be aware of.
Thanks for your reply
That was the first i thought that i push data around the local network.
I have a VRS running on a seperate Raspberry grabbing the data from the Raspberry where the airspy is connected.
A rebroadcast is outbound, but only to an external instance.
Thanks, good to know. Keep it in mind
EDIT:
Checked my network twice now.
There was a rebroadcast server configured as “pass-through” unfortunately at exact that port. This was picked up by the Raspberry.
It was not visible for me on the status page because RBS-Server appear only when connected. I only saw it by chance in the config.
Thanks for pointing me to that!
Seem to be that this was a temporary thing.
Now the Opensky - Profile is showing the same message rate as the local webview.
This is not the Airsquitter where it never was a problem, but the Raspberry with the Airspy using readsb
Upgraded RBox today too on my one feeder (discovered it was a version from 2019!!!), but now I have exactly the same double-meaasge issue. Before update everything was normal. Exactly what did you change?
Are you using readsb or dump1090-fa?
dump1090-fa. Will see if I can get it fixed today, musr be something to do with the Radarbox ini file.
there is a switch to avoid counting Mode-AC messages. That was the problem on my end.
As i do not used dump1090-fa any longer, i cannot say what this switch is in this application
EDIT:
The switch is --no-modeac-auto
@obj
How do i enter that in the new dump1090 config format?
I’ve tried NO_MODEAC_AUTO=yes but this is not accepted
You can put it in EXTRA_OPTIONS
Thanks. Will try it out later today.
