Read the New Testament. It’s the New Testament that Christians live by. The Old Testament is the old way. The New Testament tells how God reaches out to mankind and, through his Son Jesus, allows for us to have a way to be absolved of our sins.
Because this is a touchy topic for some, this is all I’ll have to say on this.
Damiross, I agree that the New Testament is better than the Old Testament. But not everyone makes that distinction. Especially when it comes to gay people. I have a brother who’s gay, so I have a big problem when people quote the Bible to say that his lifestyle is “wrong.” If you want to boil down what the Bible is telling us to do, it’s telling us to practice tolerance of other people and basically do the right thing (don’t steal, kill, etc).
