I subscribed for a text alert and there is quite a lot of text that I don’t understand. I was wondering if FlightAware had a glossary or something. The message - after the ETA - reads "(FERRA2 PNH ALS JNC J80 MLF263120 RUMPS OAL MOD3)
That is the route the plane has filed to fly from the origin to the destination.
… each “word” is another waypoint along the route, as planned by the pilot and submitted to the FAA in advance of the flight. These waypoints correspond to GPS coordinates.
