Compass airlines post merger

I just searched the forum to ensure this topic (I hope) isnt a dupe. What will become of Compass airlines I am oing on a limb to guess still fly feeders?

Just another regional carrier. I had heard that it may be folded into someone else, but that has really become less likely.

It will likely be organizationally rolled into a single holding company owned by Delta that will administer Compass, Mesaba, and Comair, but it likely won’t merge as that would require merging seniority lists and having multiple scales for different aircraft types. Something these largely aircraft-specific carriers were created to avoid.

Other than that there will be no difference, other than they will be called Delta Connection and can be used as leverage in negotiations with Shuttle America, as Delta can simply re-assign the E-jet flying that SA is doing and assign it to CP.
