This afternoon. Took off headed for ANC climbed out over the LI Sound and then vectored around to the east. Held about 9700k and circled over LI for about 45 minutes (to dump fuel?) then returned to JFK. I tried to pick up some information from (approach) the Live JFK ATC but was unable to catch any information. Even on finals and roll-out nothing from the Tower.
