Southwest Airlines said a plane carrying 52 people blew a tire and caught fire after an emergency landing at Hobby Airport.
Flight 519 was traveling from New Orleans to Houston and was carrying 47 passengers and 5 crew members when it emergency landed shortly before 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
After the landing, the plane’s emergency chute was deployed and the crew members on board evacuated all the passengers.
No major injuries were reported, although a few passengers complained of minor injuries from sliding down the chute.
The Houston Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire.
