Automatic Gain Optimization - Journal Log

Relative newbie here looking for advice. I am slowly trying to improve performance of my system and recently have been running the autogain adjust program from wiedehopf (thanks!). The program seem to be running well as my messages > -3dBFS is running at 1.9% according to graphs1090 (thanks again!). I tried to view the log of adjustments but am getting no information. Please see output below. I am running a RPI4 with FA 4.0 sd image and FA pro-stick.

sudo systemctl list-timers --all

Check if it’s scheduled to run.

sudo systemctl restart autogain1090.service

execute it manually once like the above and check if it puts something in the log.

Thanks wiedehopf. Please see below. Looks like the timer is running but there is no service?. I noticed that there is a service running called dump1090-fa-autogain. Using the different service name got it working and the log working too!. Thanks!

You can run the install for the new version if you want, it will remove the old one.
Anyhow you figured it out.

I thought I had installed the new one?. Are there 2 versions? I followed the adsb-scripts link on your Wiki at Github? Can you let me know the link to the new version please?

I changed it somewhat recently. Should be on the wiki page you looked at.
Anyhow it doesn’t really matter as long as it’s working.

OK I’ll just leave it as it is… if it ain’t broke…
